POV camera glasses for vloggers and content creators
Smart glasses for vlogging, also called POV camera glasses, put a small camera in the frame, at eye level, so you can record what you see without holding up a phone or wearing a chest mount. Your hands stay free to cook, ride, carry a bag or point at something, and the footage shows the scene from your own point of view. All three AI Chashma camera models record 2K video, transfer clips to your phone over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth through the HeyCyan app, and also work as Bluetooth audio glasses for calls and music.
What kind of vlogs work best with camera glasses?
Camera glasses are strongest when the viewer wants to see what you see. Good fits include:
- Travel and walking tours: streets, markets, train journeys and viewpoints, filmed while you keep moving
- Food and cooking: recipes from the cook's view, street-food stalls and restaurant visits
- Rides and outdoor days: cycling, treks and road trips, with both hands on the handlebar or trail
- Tutorials and how-tos: repairs, crafts, unboxings and product demos where your hands do the work
- Behind the scenes and day-in-the-life clips: events, shoots, site visits and work routines
They work as a second angle next to your phone or main camera. Use the phone for talking-to-camera shots and the glasses for point-of-view B-roll, then cut the two together in your editing app.
Which smart glasses should a vlogger buy?
All three models share the same AI features, anti-shake, 2K video and Wi-Fi transfer. The main differences for creators are storage, camera resolution and lenses:
- Cam Spire, from ₹12,590: 12MP camera with anti-shake and 32GB of internal storage, the best pick if you film often or record longer days without transferring. Two sizes and three colours.
- Cam Aura, from ₹9,790: Sony 8MP camera with anti-shake and 4GB of storage, the lowest-priced way to start filming POV clips.
- Cam Royale, from ₹10,790: Sony 8MP camera and 4GB of storage in a different frame, with photochromic lenses that darken outdoors, useful if you film indoors and outside on the same day.
Every model accepts single-vision prescription lenses, so you can vlog in glasses you would wear anyway. See smart glasses with power lens for how ordering with your power works.
How do you record and share vlog footage?
You start and stop recording from the frame, so there is no phone to unlock. The camera follows your head, so turn towards your subject and move slowly for steadier clips; the anti-shake helps when you walk. Clips are saved to the glasses' internal storage. When you are done, open the HeyCyan app, transfer photos and videos to your phone over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and edit them in the app you already use before posting to Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts or a longer YouTube vlog.
We suggest clips of up to about 15 minutes. The maximum is about 30 minutes, and longer clips can make the frame warm. Short clips are also easier to transfer and edit.
Battery and storage for a day of filming
Cam Aura and Cam Royale are rated for up to 12 hours of audio playback and Cam Spire for 10 to 12 hours, with up to 10 days of standby. Recording video and using the AI assistant use more power than music, so on a filming day expect fewer hours than the playback figure. A full charge takes about 1.5 hours, so top up during lunch or between locations. On the 4GB models, transfer clips after each outing to keep space free; Cam Spire's 32GB gives you more room before you need to.
Vlogging responsibly with camera glasses
A recording indicator light on the frame lights up for videos and photos, but people may not notice it, so tell people when you are filming and ask before recording anyone in a private setting. Many cinemas, hospitals, offices, exam halls and places of worship restrict photography. Never record or operate the glasses in a way that distracts you while driving.
